In an editorial, WISC-TV, Channel 3, in Madison strongly supports the agenda of new WEAC President Ron Martin, who said he is committed to raising the level of respect for teachers and education support professionals in Wisconsin.

“Martin wants to create an environment that makes young people want to become teachers. So do we,” says Editorial Director Neil Heinen.

“Teaching is one the most important and noble professions in our society. Politics aside, we want teaching and teachers to regain the status they deserve. We’re happy to join with WEAC in doing so.”
