WEA Academy offers new summer online courses on Restorative Practices and LGBTQ Inclusive Schools

The WEA Academy is offering two new online courses this summer to help members in the classroom. They are:

Using Restorative Practices in Schools: This online course is designed to provide an interactive and reflective experience for those interested in learning what Restorative Practices means, and how the practices can be used in schools. Restorative Practices is an emerging social science that values relationships and includes a variety of practices for building community and repairing relationships. Throughout the course there will be several opportunities to assess what this framework means to you and how it aligns or does not align with your pedagogy. Summer course offering is June 18-July 29, 2017.  Find out more and register.

Creating LGBTQ Inclusive Schools: This course challenges educators to examine and evaluate personal views and practices, review issues within schools that impact LGBTQ youth and families, and develop strategies for taking action to make our schools more inclusive. The next course offering is June 11 – July 16, 2017. Find out more and register.
