Both the River Falls Teachers and Bus Drivers have reached agreement on a 2017-18 base wage agreement. As certified units, negotiations teams met with district representatives in order to bargain a settlement acceptable to members.
Drivers will receive full step movement and for those without step movement, a longevity stipend will be paid resulting in a wage increase of $0.42 to $0.51 per hour. In addition, individual trip rates will increase by $0.40 per hour. Drivers will also receive their regular wage rate for any inservice and mandatory meeting, rather than being paid at the base trip rate, which results in a higher hourly rate for all members. Agreement was also reached to provide drivers with additional training in managing behavioral issues to prevent students harming themselves or others. Congratulations to Chris Carley, River Falls Drivers Unit Director!
