Congratulations to Port Washington-Saukville teacher Brian Borley, the latest winner of our WEAC Badger Red for Public Ed promotion! The honor goes to WEAC members in appreciation for their dedication to students. Recipients are treated to a UW Badger athletic event.
Brian will get VIP treatment at the January 19 UW Badger men’s basketball game against Michigan at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Brian, who is in his 14th year of teaching Social Studies at Port Washington High School, was nominated by Emily O’Brien, who said: “Brian is dynamic, engaging, and supportive of every student in his classroom. He magically is able to provide what every student needs in his room. He fights for all students to have access to quality public education and supports his colleagues to be their best.”
Brian said: “I had amazing teachers during my K-12 educational experiences and always knew I wanted to become an educator since elementary school. I believe that a strong public education system is the greatest sign of a community’s success, and I have been fortunate to work with terrific staff and students in the Port Washington-Saukville communities during my career.”
