For the Fox Valley Technical College Faculty Association, the well-being of students and their families is top-of-mind during the public health crisis.
“We understand that COVID-19 has caused a huge disruption in many people’s lives,” said Brenda Stern, FVTC-Faculty Association Treasurer and Membership Chairwoman. “These financial situations are those that, if not resolved quickly, could lead to the student’s temporary or permanent departure from the college.”
To help students in dire need, the union donated $3,000 to Feeding America and $3,000 to the FVTC Seeds of Hope Financial Assistance Fund. Seeds of Hope supports financial needs of current FVTC students. The fund, managed by the FVTC Foundation, assists students with a financial shortfall to pay for educational or personal expenses.
