Special Education Funding Call to Action

Wisconsin educators are deeply concerned that the state's special education reimbursement rate has come in far below what was promised in the 2025–27 budget, with the initial rate at just 35 percent, well under the 42 percent lawmakers touted. This shortfall means many more school districts must consider referendums to maintain essential services, putting students with disabilities and their families in a precarious position.
