Milwaukee Counselor is WEAC’s 2025 Excellence In Education Award Recipient

Ana Celia Báez is the recipient of the Wisconsin Education Association Council’s 2025 Excellence in Education Award.

Báez is a bilingual school counselor at South Division High School in Milwaukee, and is also a 2025 Wisconsin Teacher of the Year and Wisconsin’s National Teacher of the Year.

“Every day, Ana brings passion for her students, profession and community,” WEAC President Peggy Wirtz-Olsen said.

Báez was presented the award at WEAC’s 2025 Representative Assembly in Wisconsin Dells.
