Assembly Ends Regular Session, Senate Expected to Meet Final Time in March
The Assembly ended its regular session at about 9 p.m. on Friday, February 20, following four straight days of session. There is still a chance the Assembly could come back in a special or extraordinary session to take up a possible school funding/property tax compromise. WEAC is monitoring closely.
Assembly Majority Speaker Rboin Vos says he is continuing to hold negotiations with Governor Evers’ staff on a deal. Otherwise, the Senate is expected to come back into regular session one more time in March.
Rep. Vos last week announced he is not running for reelection, but will be active in Assembly Republicans’ efforts to keep their majority in the November midterms.
