Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians but were Afraid to Ask – A Virtual Book Study

January 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on January 23, 2021 at 10:00 am

$10

Facilitated by the book’s author, Dr. Anton Treuer, this virtual book study is designed for educators who want to explore the history, diversity, and current issues around First Nations people. Relationships between whites and Native Americans are often characterized by guilt and anger. Everything You Wanted to Know about Indians but Were Afraid to Ask cuts through the emotion and builds a foundation for true understanding and positive action in the classroom and in the community. This is a rare opportunity for Wisconsin educators to interact directly with the book’s author. Registration fee includes a copy of the book shipped to you. Meeting dates: Saturdays, January 9 and 23, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
