Restorative Dr. King Jr Session

November 7, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Session: Making Dr. King’s Dream Come to Life In Your Classroom with this Year’s Contest

Theme:  What Are You Doing For Others?

Join teacher, restorative practice coach, and liberation advocate Nicole “Nikki” Janzen for an hour and a half session to help prepare to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King Jr. Together, we can go deeper with not just the facts about this great man’s life, but dive into actions that can positively impact our communities and empower students to create art, essays, and/or speeches.

Ms. Janzen will use a restorative circle agenda to facilitate a share of lessons, relevant games and curriculum connections to make this year’s theme “What are you doing for Others?”  applicable to every grade level and ability.

Please bring a chrome book or laptop for planning and if you have any questions, please email Nicolejanzen@att.net.

Join us on Wednesday, November 7 from 5-6:30pm at the MTEA Building.  Registration is required, please use the form below.
