Lucy Stuckey, a fifth-grade teacher in the Juda School District, is a 2020-21 Badgers Outstanding Educator.

Mrs. Stuckey is finishing her 29th year at Juda Elementary School teaching fifth grade and fourth-grade math and science. She also serves as Juda’s Booster Club President, a position she’s held for a decade to support student athletes and musicians outside of her classroom.

“I absolutely love kids and knowing that I can make a difference in their lives and education is the main reason I teach,” Mrs. Stuckey said. “It is so rewarding.”

Jackie Klar, Juda STEAM Coordinator and teacher, nominated her colleague for the award. “Mrs. Stuckey has served the Juda community in and out of the classroom,” she wrote. “Mrs. Stuckey is steadfast, kind, caring and committed to the Juda Community; the sort of teacher we expect all to be.

In addition to her work at Juda Elementary School and the Booster Club, Mrs. Stuckey is a member of the Stateline Trailblazers snowmobile club and the local recreational district which helps put on events for families and students.
