NEA IDEA Resource Cadre Nominees Sought
The National Education Association is looking to identify a diverse cadre of educators across America who work with students with disabilities in a broad range of roles including special educators, general educators, specialized instructional support personnel, paraprofessionals, special education coordinators and coaches, transition specialists, behavior specialists and others.
Being a member of the Cadre is a high-profile position and members have been called upon to work with strategic partners in the U.S. Department of Education, The White House and external organizations. Cadre members are responsible for working collaboratively to identify, develop and deliver resources and training, monthly participation in meetings, working group assignments, attending an annual convening each July and occasional travel. The time commitment is about 10 hours a month.
If you are a WEAC member with a heart to serve in this capacity, submit your name for consideration in the form below. You may use “Wisconsin Education Association Council Newsletter” to answer question 1.
