Region 2 RA
The WEAC Region 2 Representative Assembly (RA) will be held
May 8, 2025
Each Region 2 active member local elects delegates for representation.
The Representative Assembly shall:
- Adopts modifications to the Region’s Constitution and Bylaws
- Elects the Region’s officers
- Establishes goals and objectives for the Region
- Adopts the budget
- Establishes dues
- Exercise final authority in all matters of the Region
Region 2 Positions Up for Election at the 2025 RA
- Vice President (3-year term)
- Treasurer (3-year term)
- Member At-Large #3 (3-year term)
Region 2 members interested in running for an officer’s position are nominated from the eligible delegates at the RA. Members running for any Regional officer position shall have been members in good standing for a period of not less than two years.
New -Delegate Counts for Locals
Please be aware that there has been a change from past practice regarding the number of local delegates for the Region 2 RA. Beginning in 2025, per new Bylaw language, each local now has 2 guaranteed delegates. Then for each 50 members, or a major fraction thereof, locals are allowed an additional delegate spot.
Locals must have a president and secretary role assigned in NEA360 to receive delegate registration information.
