Rep. Francesca Hong is the 2025 Friend of Education

Assembly Representative Francesca Hong has been named the recipient of WEAC’s 2025 Friend of Education Award for her work on behalf of public education.

Hong accepted the award and addressed WEAC’s delegates at the annual WEAC Representative Assembly in Wisconsin Dells on April 12, 2024.

“Representative Hong is the embodiment of support for public education and educators in word and deed,” said WEAC President Peggy Wirtz-Olsen. “She shares our mission of standing up for Wisconsin’s students. And she backs up her beliefs with advocacy and action.”
