Are you looking for a new way to increase your education advocacy skills this summer while you earn some extra cash?
WEAC and the NEA are collaborating on a project to train and empower educators to be a voice for candidates who support students and public schools, and we need your help! You are the most trusted and best messengers to communicate with voters on education issues, and our program pays WEAC/NEA members to talk about key issues and the fall election with voters. If you haven’t participated in a canvass program before, don’t worry! We’ll train you and you’ll be part of a fun community of organizers across Wisconsin.

In past years, our program trained 100 educators who talked with voters about public education in Wisconsin.
Important Details:

- In a typical week, organizers contact about 200 members of the general public who are likely to be swing voters.
- While the dates are subject to change, the program will likely run from Monday, July 11 to Saturday, September 3 for a total of eight weeks.
- Organizers work about 15 hours per week and receive a weekly stipend of $450, along with a mileage stipend.
