Underly Holding School Funding Information Sessions in April

Through Funding the Future: How Federal & State Dollars Impact Wisconsin’s Schools & Libraries, State Superintendent Dr. Jill Underly and her Department of Public Instruction staff are presenting a series of information sessions designed to offer the public a clearer view of the funding landscape in Wisconsin, and its influence on local public education. The sessions will allow attendees to ask questions and engage in discussions about the future of education funding in Wisconsin.
In March, the DPI launched a new webpage, Tracking Federal Funding: The Effect on Wisconsin, providing interactive maps and comprehensive tools that highlight the impact of federal funding on every public school district and library in the state. Meanwhile, all WEAC members are urged to email members of Wisconsin Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee as they continue to hold public hearings throughout April.
