WEAC Celebrates Public Schools Week
Wisconsin Education Association Council lifts up the great educators, districts providing opportunities for all students.
The Wisconsin Education Association Council, representing public school teachers and education support professionals, celebrates Public Schools Week 2023, February 27–March 3; a week designated to highlight and show support for our local public schools.
“It’s time to shine a light on local public schools and share the stories of the positive things happening in Wisconsin classrooms and schools,” said teacher Peggy Wirtz-Olsen, president of the Wisconsin Education Association Council. “Public school educators are working with families every single day to advance learning and provide safe and welcoming schools.”
“Public Schools Week 2023 provides a much-needed opportunity to showcase success stories and public-school champions—everyday educators who go above and beyond against all odds to meet the needs of every student,” Wirtz-Olsen said.
