Andrew Bader, Green Bay Teacher, Named Badgers Outstanding Educator
Andrew Bader, Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble teacher at Preble High School and Edison Middle School in Green Bay, is a 2020-21 Badgers Outstanding Educator.
“I first began teaching to share my love of music with others and to expand the prevalence of orchestral and jazz music in my community,” said Mr. Bader. “I am constantly motivated to keep teaching every day by the hard work and perseverance of my students as they continue to master new skills and grow as young musicians.”
Mr. Bader performs regularly in the Green Bay area community with groups such as the UW-Green Bay Faculty Jazz Combo, Big Band Reunion, Pegasis, Unity the Band and Feel Good Kids.
He was nominated to be recognized as a Badgers Outstanding Educator by his father, Steve, who knows firsthand the dedication and endless hours Mr. Bader poured into his students so they could keep learning during the pandemic. “Andrew worked creatively to keep all students involved and helped them to keep moving forward so that they are ready when everything gets back to normal,” the nomination stated. “He has a very positive and professional attitude and helps students be successful regardless of the challenges they are dealing with.”
