Jennifer Peer Is 2021 Education Support Professional of the Year
The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) has named Jennifer Peer as the 2021 Education Support Professional of the Year.
Peer, a paraeducator at Lincoln Elementary School in the Port Washington – Saukville School District, was selected for the honor by a committee of Wisconsin Public School educators.
“Mrs. Peer is an outstanding paraeducator, dedicated to her students and also to all support staff professionals in her district,” said WEAC President Ron Martin. “She consistently goes above and beyond, inspiring everyone around her.”
She was nominated for the state award by Port Washington – Saukville School District teacher Nathan Ugoretz, who highlighted Peer’s continuing advocacy for her students and their families during the pandemic. Peer is recognized for her school leadership and her involvement in the Port Washington – Saukville Education Support Professionals Association.
