Mendy Dorris Receives 2021 WEAC Cunningham, Dickinson, Watson Staff Award

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) has named Mendy Dorris as the 2021 Cunningham, Dickinson & Watson Staff Award Recipient.

Dorris, a Director in WEAC Region 6, was selected for the honor for her dedication to strengthening educator unions in Wisconsin and community organizing. Her work in the areas of social justice and equal pay for equal work is well-known by public school educators.

“Mendy Dorris has demonstrated a consistent commitment to advancing unionism as a means to expand opportunity for all students,” said WEAC Executive Director Bob Baxter.
