REU PAC Additional Voluntary Contribution

The Racine Educators United PAC (REU PAC) and the Wisconsin Education Association Council Political Action Committee (WEAC PAC) supports pro-public education candidates on the state and regional levels regardless of political affiliation. Contributors to the REU PAC and WEAC PAC must be members and may participate in candidate screening committees.

PAC Voluntary Contribution Amounts

PAC payments will be auto-distributed over the remaining dues payments for the year. Contributions to the WEAC & REU PAC are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. I will make an additional voluntary recurring contribution to REU PAC and/or WEAC PAC (to be drawn at the same time as regular dues payment) in the amount of:

Authorizations

PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION OF MEMBER
In addition to the amounts already authorized by me for payment of dues and PAC contributions, I hereby agree to voluntarily contribute to the WEAC PAC and REU PAC, the additional amounts specified below. I authorize, on a continuing basis, the payment of my voluntary contribution described herein unless I revoke this authorization in a signed writing to: WEAC, P.O. Box 8003, Madison, WI 53708 via U.S. mail. I understand that I will be relieved of my voluntary PAC contributions seven days after WEAC’s receipt of my written notice of revocation. I understand that this agreement is voluntary.
PAC INFORMATION
Political Action Disclaimer: The WEAC Political Action Committee (WEAC PAC) and Racine Education Association PAC (REA-PAC) are political action committees that collect voluntary contributions from Association members and uses these contributions for political purposes, including, but not limited to, making contributions to and expenditures on behalf of friends of public education who are candidates for state office. Only U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (i.e. green card holders) may contribute to these funds. Contributions to the WEAC PAC and/or REA PAC are voluntary; making a contribution is neither a condition of employment nor membership in the Association and members have the right to refuse to contribute without suffering any reprisal. Although the WEAC PAC and REA PAC request bi-weekly contribution amounts above, they are only a suggestion.
The WEAC PAC and REA PAC are subject to regulation by the Wisconsin Ethics Commission. State law requires the WEAC PAC and REA PAC to use best efforts to collect and report the name and mailing address of all PAC contributors, and occupation of those contributing over $200 in a calendar year, to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission.
Political Action Cancelation: I may request for my WEAC PAC and/or REA PAC additional contributions to be stopped by writing to WEAC, PO Box 8003, Madison WI 53708.
PAYMENT INFORMATION AUTHORIZATION
EFT or Credit Card Payment Authorization I authorize the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) to charge my credit card account or debit my checking/savings account, as provided herein, any voluntary contributions I have authorized on my membership form. I authorize WEAC to charge my credit card account or debit my checking/savings account on a recurring basis, payable in monthly or bi-weekly installments, as indicated herein. I understand that the total amount of my WEAC PAC and REA PAC contribution listed above shall remain fixed from year-to-year unless I notify WEAC of a change to future annual contribution amounts online at www.mynea360.org or in writing sent to WEAC at PO Box 8003, Madison, WI 53708. Upon receipt of notice, I authorize WEAC to adjust the amount to be charged to or debited from my account to satisfy any modification and to process future contributions in amounts proportionate to the payment frequency described above. I understand that this authorization for the payment of contributions to the WEAC PAC and REA PAC continues year-to-year and shall remain in effect until the earlier of: 1) my written notice of cancellation according to the procedures above or 2) the termination of my eligibility to maintain membership in the Association.
I understand that WEAC will notify me in writing if a transaction is rejected and I shall have seven calendar days to provide WEAC with updated account information, or with an accepted alternative method of payment, to continue my payments for voluntary contributions. I agree that if any transaction is rejected with cause, WEAC shall be under no liability whatsoever if such rejection results in late charges or fees. I understand that if I wish to terminate this voluntary PAC authorization, I must do so in a signed writing, addressed to WEAC, PO Box 8003, Madison, WI 53708. Written notice of termination must include the following information: 1) full name, 2) home e-mail, 3) home address. I understand that termination of this voluntary PAC authorization will take effect seven days after the date notice of termination is received.
Terms and conditions of membership are set forth in the initial membership agreement entered into by the member and NEA, WEAC and REU and any addendums thereto, including but not limited to this update.
