WEAC - Give Yourself a Raise

Obtaining your National Board Certification is a guaranteed way to give yourself a raise.

Successful candidates receive a $2500 annual stipend from the DPI. If you work in a high poverty school the stipend is $5000. Many local employing school districts offer additional financial incentives. This fall and winter we invite local union leaders to organize National Board informational sessions in their schools or communities. Informational sessions can be virtual, in person, or we can share a pre-recorded video. In addition to a professional development opportunity, an informational session is also a membership building event. Potential members may attend informational sessions but may not access candidate resources or support until they become a WEAC member. In an effort to use our time and resources wisely we need a minimum of 5 registrants for a virtual session and 10 for an in-person session. In the words of one wise NBCT, “you’re leaving money on the table if you’re not Nationally Board Certified.”
